The Goaltending Consultant group proudly announces the relaunch of the GCG website which will provide goalies like you with an abundance of resources to help you maximize your potential. Beginning July 15, 2008 The GCG is open to all goalies across North America and the World.
To become a member of the GCG simply click on REGISTER HERE after July 15, 2008. Within minutes you will be viewing the GCG website videos, articles and links.
Membership in the Goaltending Consultant Group permits access to all areas of the GCG website. The GCG posts new content daily and the following is a list of some of the key features that the GCG site has to offer:
New content added daily:
Monday · A video "Tip of the Week" provides goalies on-ice and off ice instruction or motivation.
Tuesday · A listing of goalie specific articles that have appeared in print and on the internet during the previous week.
Wednesday · The GCG Goalie of the week is announced and chosen from GCG trained goalies. There is also a listing of league weekly goalie awards as well.
Thursday · A feature of one of the GCG trained goalies as well as the "Inside Hockey" goalie article of the week provided by www.insidehockey.com.
Friday · The opportunity to have GCG consultants answer your goaltending questions on the "Ask the Coach" page and the You Tube videos of the week.
Daily · GCG Goalies are featured on a daily bais on the GCG Newswire. If you have any accomplishments to announce simple email us and they will appear on the GCG homepage.
The GCG website newswire is broken down into three categories:
"Futures" are goalies that will play Squirt, Peewee or Bantam Hockey this season.
"Prospects" are goalies that will play Midget, High School or Junior this season.
"Mentors" are goalies that will play Major Junior, College or Pro this season.
In addition the GCG website provides...
· A monthly newsletter with a listing of the top goalie specific... articles, video and newswire items.
· A Referral Page - this feature will allow GCG members to have their own page which can display their personal hockey profile, picture and game video. This is a recruiting resource to help goalies, goalie coaches and team coaches to provide potentially interested teams an opportunity to see not only their profile but action video as well. Presently under construction.
· The Goalie Hot Seat - On this page you will see video of GCG members responding to a series of questions about goaltending. Response times will be limited, thus putting the member on "the hot seat". It should be a lot of fun being on the hot seat or watching fellow goaltenders getting grilled.
· Discussion boards for top goalies to communicate and share their experiences.
· Off-ice workout programs for pre adolescent to College goalies complete with video.
· A complete list of North American College, Junior and Prep school programs with goalies and links to team and league information.
· Links to hundreds of goalie specific sites ranging from equipment sites to health and motivation.
· Links to a wide variety of articles ranging from "health and nutrition" to studies on "visual training" for goalies.
