Clarke Leads Bobcats into Quarterfinals (Mentors)

HAMDEN, CT (March 7) — The No. 7 seed Quinnipiac Bobcats escaped with a 2-1 victory over the No. 10 Dartmouth Big Green in game 3 of ECAC opening round action Sunday night to advance to the quarterfinal round.

After winning 3-2 Friday evening and losing 6-3 last night, Quinnipiac took the series, with Dan Clarke holding Dartmouth to one goal on 26 shots.

“We’re excited to move on,” said Quinnipiac coach Rand Pecknold. “Our guys were gritty and Clarke was good and we prepared better. I thought he was excellent and was confident. He was our best player tonight.”
